"In Him & through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom & confidence."
-Ephesians 3:12

A new year brings fresh beginnings, renewed vision, & a deeper call to embrace your Identity in Christ. As Daughters & Sisters in Christ, we’re not meant to carry old doubts into a new season. Instead, let’s Stop Striving Start Being & walk boldly in who God says we are.
This year, deepen your Intimacy with God & step fully into His calling. Instead of striving, stand firm. Instead of questioning your worth, embrace it. Walk boldly in your Identity in Christ—beloved, chosen, & set apart.
You’re Chosen & Set Apart
When we say "yes" to Jesus, we're no longer defined by our past, our fears, or the world’s expectations. We're adopted into God’s family, loved beyond measure, & given a new Identity in Christ. 1 Peter 2:9 reminds us: "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light."
You don’t need to wait for another accomplishment, another approval, nor another resolution to prove your worth. You're already chosen, already loved, & already set apart for His purpose.
For a deeper exploration of your new identity in Christ, consider the Discovering Your Identity & Calling practice by Practicing the Way. Watch this overview from Bible Project on what it means to be made new in Christ.
This year, Stop Striving Start Being—rest in the truth that your worth isn’t earned, it’s already given through Christ.
Boldness Comes from Knowing Who You Belong To
A daughter of the King walks with confidence—not because of her own strength, but because of the One who holds her life in His hands. This year, instead of shrinking back in fear or uncertainty, let’s step forward in faith.
In your work – Serve with excellence, knowing that your value isn’t tied to productivity, but to who you are in Christ.
In your relationships – Set healthy boundaries & embrace the love God has for you, knowing you are deeply cherished.
In your time with God – Make space for Him daily, deepening your Intimacy with God & letting His voice define you rather than the noise of the world.
New Year, New Mindset
The enemy will always try to make you forget who you are. He’ll whisper lies that you’re not enough, that you need to prove yourself, that you’re still the same person from last year. But Romans 12:2 reminds us: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."
Renewing your mind means replacing lies with truth. Want to understand the journey of transformation in Christ? You can also Watch this Gospel of Matthew summary by Bible Project, highlighting Jesus' teachings on the Kingdom of God & how believers can live out their Identity in Christ.
Every time doubt creeps in, counter it with God’s Word:
Lie: "I’m not enough." → Truth: "I am fearfully & wonderfully made." (Psalm 139:14)
Lie: "I have to figure this out alone." → Truth: "God goes before me & is with me." (Deuteronomy 31:8)
Lie: "I’ll never change." → Truth: "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Walk Boldly, Daughter of the King
This year let’s refuse to live small. Let’s refuse to let fear, insecurity, or the past dictate our future. Instead, let’s walk boldly as Daughters & Sisters in Christ—rooted in His love, secure in His promises, & confident in our God-given Identity in Christ.
This year, deepening your Intimacy with God will transform how you see yourself. When you spend time in His presence, you begin to see yourself through His eyes—loved, worthy, & created for a purpose. It will also change the way you walk in faith.
I know how easy it is to fall into striving instead of resting in God’s truth, but this year, I’m choosing to walk boldly as a Daughter of the King. Will you join me?
What’s one way you can step into your Identity in Christ this year? Start small—spend intentional time in prayer, meditate on God’s Word, or speak a biblical affirmation over yourself daily.
