"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me & I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
John 15:5
As a kid, I vividly remember the adults, the grown-ups, the teachers saying, "Color inside the lines." "That's the right way." "Why can't you be like everyone else?
Even then, I remember thinking, well that's just no fun. Who says that's the right way, the only way?
I'm tired of coloring inside the lines. I want to create my masterpiece, my way, using my colors.
I'm going to color outside the lines. Because I want to, I need to.
P.S. I have a feeling the people who made the lines aren't going to like that very much.
P.P.S. You know what? Oh well, I have some coloring to do.

I continue to be amazed & in awe of how wonderfully beautiful God created & made each & every one of us.
Each of us is a uniquely created masterpiece; all with our own special, colorful gifts.
Every day, every moment, He continuously shows us His generous love & abundant grace.
Yet at times, I've wondered Who am I? ... What's my purpose?
I fancy myself a creative artist of sorts & am recently embracing the gifts that God has graciously bestowed upon me.
That's my human identity.
My real identity, my real purpose, is I'm a Child of God.
I don't need to do, or be, anything else.
I stopped striving & started just being.
I surrendered & released.
The peace I found, found me first.
For that, I'm eternally grateful. As my secured identity in Christ.
